Online Transfer
• Get your IDFC FIRST Bank NRE/NRO account added as a beneficiary on your other bank's internet banking/mobile app.
• You will just need these basic details:
o Your 11 digit IDFC FIRST Bank account number
o IFSC code - IDFB0040101*
* This universal IFSC code is linked to our BKC Naman Chambers branch in Mumbai. Use this IFSC code when adding your IDFC FIRST Bank account to your existing Net Banking / funds transfer provider to ensure seamless credits into your own bank account and branch.
• Once the beneficiary is added you can do an NEFT/ RTGS or IMPS depending on what the sending bank permits you.
• We allow all types of credits via online transfer.
Please note following important restrictions:
• Credit to NRE account is possible only from another NRE account in India.
• In case of NRO or resident account to an NRE account fund transfer, the transaction will not go through, and funds will be credited back to the remitter.
• Credit to NRO account is possible from NRE, NRO or Resident accounts.
• Please check with your chartered account before receiving funds from an NRO account of another NRI.
• Restrictions may apply.
Cheque Credit
You can credit INR cheques into your account by depositing it in an IDFC FIRST Bank Branch across the counter or in a cheque drop box.
Please note following important restrictions:
• Credit to NRE account is possible only from another NRE account in India. *
• Credit to NRO account is possible from NRE, NRO or Resident accounts.
• Please check with your chartered account before receiving cheques from an NRO account of another NRI. Restrictions may apply.
‘* A cheque drawn from an NRE account will normally have "NRE" or "NON RESIDENT EXTERNAL" embossed on the cheque leaf. If this is not mentioned, you will need to provide additional documents to establish the source of funds in NRE. Refer to the section on "Repatriation" for more details. If we are unable to establish source of funds is NRE, we will not credit the cheque to an NRE account.
#Cheque credit will normally reflect within 24-48 hours for CTS-2010 compliant cheques. We do not recommend crediting non CTS-2010 cheques into your NRI accounts.
