  • IDFC FIRST Bank in partnership with Animedh Charitable Trust, supports a three-month vocational training program called ‘Saksham’ for women from low-income communities in Mumbai to empower them with tailoring skills that allows them to work from home or in a garment factory and earn a livelihood. Average increase in their income due to this: ₹ 48000.00 p.a.

This program imparts necessary life-skills and entrepreneurship skills to start, run and manage micro enterprises. Average increase in their income due to this: ₹ 84000 p.a

    Bubbles Centre for Autism
  • IDFC FIRST Bank in partnership with Bubbles Centre for Autism, provides scholarships to young adults with autism and other intellectual disabilities and supports their special education in Bangalore. This programme provides financial aid to students from low-income groups to cover a part of their education fee of early intervention.

  • IDFC FIRST Bank in partnership with SAMPARC, works with youth from low income communities to train them in Industrial Training Institute courses thereby making them employable. This programme imparts necessary theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to kick start their career as a Welder, Electrician and other industrial workers.


  • Pune City Connect
  • IDFC FIRST Bank in partnership with Pune City Connect, supports skills training program called ‘Lighthouse’ for youth from low-income communities of Pune to empower them with vocational skills of their choice thereby making them employable. The program begins with a 20-day foundation course followed by one-to-one counselling and skills training in the youth’s preferred vocation which is then followed by placement support.

  • IDFC FIRST Bank in partnership with Om Creations Trust has set up a stipend program that provides support in terms of skills development and employment to women with intellectual disabilities, especially those with down syndrome, to gainfully engage them in different activities like arts ,crafts and food processing unit at the latter’s center. 


  • Home Again is a long-term housing support program for persons with mental health issues living with variegated disabilities. Home Again runs in three states in India with 200 persons living across 50 houses. BALM also has Emergency Care and Recovery Centres (ECRC) that act as first stop acute care facilities for homeless persons with mental health issues. BALM directly runs 4 ECRCs in Tamil Nadu and Kerala for 190 men and women in dire need of support, and 10 ECRCs with partners for 700 homeless men and women in rural Tamil Nadu. In addition outreach services are offered for homeless persons who cannot be taken into the facility immediately.
