Psychosocial Disability Support Program

IDFC FIRST Bank,
in partnership with Banyan Academy for Leadership in Mental Health (BALM), supports the capacity building of human resources in the field of mental health services

Center for Trauma Studies and Innovation

Under this program, we had initiated a pilot center that focussed on understanding the subjective trauma appraisal, estimated the magnitude and explored the nature of the problem while also advocating for better access to trauma informed care.

IDFC FIRST Bank's team FIRST IMPACT, in collaboration with the Center for Trauma Studies and Innovation at BALM, organized a series of workshops aimed at empowering NGO representatives with tools and tips to foster resilience in the workplace.

During these workshops, participants had the opportunity to learn and enhance their mental health awareness and vocabulary. The sessions covered fundamental aspects of mental well-being, including an understanding of risk and precipitating factors. Furthermore, the workshops focused on familiarizing participants with common mental health conditions, including their signs and symptoms. Additionally, valuable information was provided on seeking help and implementing this newfound awareness within the workplace. Overall, these workshops aimed to equip NGO representatives with the necessary knowledge and skills to promote mental health and resilience within their organizations.

Center for Social Needs and Livelihoods

Under this program, we supported the Center for Social Needs and Livelihoods (CSNL), that focussed on developing innovative pathways to livelihood sustenance by increasing access to social entitlements, citizenship documents and job opportunities for people with mental health challenges.

This program was closed in FY 2022-23
