PERSONAL ACCIDENT: (Death or Permanent Disability)

1. Personal Accident covers accidental death/disability due to sudden, unforeseen and involuntary event caused by external, visible and violent means which occurs at an identifiable time and place during the period of insurance.

2. Terrorism is covered.

3. To continue enjoying this valuable insurance coverage, you will need to:

I. Receive salary credit/maintain Average Monthly Balance in your IDFC FIRST Bank account for at least two months preceding the claim month.

II. Meet at least one of the following transaction requirements every month for the three months

• At least 1 POS/e-Commerce transaction of ₹500 or more

• At least 5 UPI merchant transactions of ₹500 or more


PERSONAL AIR ACCIDENT: (Only Death)

  1. In the event of accidental death arising out of Aircraft, schedule Airlines etc. the claim would be payable only if the Air ticket is purchased using IDFC Bank account or Debit Card (Offline/online/to Airline /Aggregator/travel agents etc) .
  2. Claim would be payable only if the same is reported to the call Centre within 60 days from the date of accidental death.

 

LOST CARD LIABILITY:

  1. The cover is valid for 7 days prior to reporting and 7 days post reporting.
  2. Fraudulent utilization of lost or stolen covered Debit cards including at point of sale and merchant establishments transactions are covered.
  3. Any PIN based transactions (like ATM, Internet and telephone etc) are covered provide that PIN is acquired under duress by unauthorized person.
  4. All losses from breach of 2nd level authorization transaction are not covered excepts for UPI transactions.
  5. Pre delivery fraud is not covered.
  6. Coverages for cards forgotten by the customer in the ATM will be covered provided the card is used by unauthorized person using the card number & CVV number. Claim will be paid only if video recording is received from the bank.
  7. Coverage – Worldwide.

 

PURCHASE PROTECTION:

  1. Cover against Standard Fire and Allied Perils and Burglary in residential premises of the cardholder as per the records of the bank only.
  2. Cover valid for purchases on bank debit cards only.
  3. Cover is valid for 90 Days from the date of purchase.
  4. Cover for residential address of the card holder as per the records of the policyholder only.
  5. Available for the period of 90 days on purchase of tangible goods on card against damage or loss
  6. Theft is to be covered under the policy.
  7. Geographical Limit: India.

 

TRIP CANCELLATION COVER:

The Insurer will indemnify the Insured Person for flight cancellation charges if the Insured Person cancels his trip before the onset of the trip due to Insured Person’s hospitalization or his / her family member’s hospitalization within 1 day prior to departure of the Insured Person, death of the Insured Person family

member within 1 day prior to departure of the Insured Person, natural calamity, riot or strike at the travel origin city, Government advisory or due to legal matter wherein the Insured Person is directly involved.

Cancellation due to any Personal Reason. The reason can be anything. There is no definition for personal reason. For this section, family member should mean spouse, children and parents of the Insured Person.

HOTEL CANCELLATION COVER:

The Insurer will indemnify the customer for hotel cancellation charges, if the customer cancels his booking due to any reason. The reason can be anything.
