1. Personal Accident Death Cover:
a. Eligibility:
I. Receive salary credit/maintain Average Monthly Balance in your IDFC FIRST Bank account for at least two months preceding the claim month.
II. Meet at least one of the following transaction requirements every month for the three months
• At least 1 POS/e-Commerce transaction of ₹500 or more
• At least 5 UPI merchant transactions of ₹500 or more
• Maintain a required Average Monthly Balance (AMB) of INR 25,000
b. Exclusion : Natural death, suicide, and death due to involvement in hazardous sports activities.
c. Reporting : The incident needs to be reported to the bank within 60 days of occurrence
2. Air Accident Insurance Cover:
a. Eligibility:
i. Ticket has to be booked using the IDFC FIRST bank Debit Card/UPI/Net banking
ii. Ticket can be booked using any platform
b. Exclusion : Pilots, Air Crew are not included
c. Reporting: The incident needs to be reported to the bank within 60 days of occurrence
3. Lost Card Liability:
a. Any PIN based transaction is covered provided that PIN is obtained under duress by an unauthorized person. Card forgotten by the customer at the ATM is covered if video recording is received from the bank
b. Exclusion :
i. All losses arising from a 2nd level authorization breach except for UPI transactions
ii. Pre delivery fraud
c. Reporting : The fraud must be reported to the bank within 7 days of occurrence
4. Purchase Protection :
a. Cover for residential address of the cardholder as per the records of account holder only. It is available for the period of 90 days on purchase of tangible goods on card against damage or loss
b. Exclusion : Jewellery, Perishable items, Earthquake, Terrorism, Mysterious disappearance
c. Reporting : The incident must be reported to the bank within 7 days of occurrence
1. Trip Cancellation:
a. Eligibility:
Flights/ hotel bookings cancelled before the onset of the said trip due to any reason within 24 hours prior to departure. The tickets need to be purchased through IDFC FIRST Bank Debit Card/ UPI/ Net Banking.
Only the Account Holder is included.
b. Exclusion :
i.Failure to start the journey due to rejection of VISA
ii. If the trip is cancelled due to a calamity not declared by appropriate government authority
c. Reporting : the cancellation has to be notified to the bank at least 24 hours prior to the departure.
2. Travel Insurance:
a. Eligibility:
Ticket has to be booked using IDFC FIRST Bank DC/net banking/UPI
b. Reporting:
The incident has to be reported to the bank within 30 days of occurrence
c. Lost Baggage:
i. Only total loss of baggage is covered (not partial)
ii. Any Nation/International carrier on an inbound flight to India is not covered
iii. Valuables are not covered (like watch, camera, sunglasses etc)
d. Missed Flight:
i. Inclusion: flights missed due to- delays due to bad weather, equipment failure, strikes or other job action by employees of the carrier
ii. Exclusion:
a. Cases where the time difference between scheduled arrival and scheduled departure is less than 6 hrs
b. Any claim caused by strike or industrial action etc where dates were announced publicly at the time the trip was booked
e. Loss of Travel Related Documents:
i. Inclusion: Cost incurred to procure lost passport/visa and other documents including application cost
