What are the different limit options available for me?

With the IDFC FIRST Bank Visa Classic Debit Card, you can control the Debit Card daily limits for cash withdrawal as well as for purchase. The maximum limits can be set depending on your classic debit card variant, do check the below grid for further details.

What are the limit options for a classic debit card issued to a Minor’s Savings Account?

Special limits that you can apply to a classic Visa debit card issued to Minor’s Savings Account:

• Maximum daily cash withdrawal limit at ATM -  ₹ 10,000

• Maximum daily purchase limit -  ₹ 10,000

By default only domestic limits will be enabled for Signature Debit Cards issued to minors. Customers can set their own limits within the overall limits by logging on to Net banking or through Mobile application.

How do we set the limits for Minor savings’ account?

a.  For minors who are above Ten years of age, they can set their limits by logging on to their Net banking or Mobile Banking account

b.  For minors who are below Ten years of age, please reach out to your respective branch to get the changes done. 

What are the charges on International transactions?

A 2% markup is applicable on the ATM, POS and E-Com transactions. Additionally, there may be a convenience fee or facilitation charge which can be levied by the acquiring ATM on Cash Withdrawals.

Would there be any taxes applicable on my International transactions?

All LRS international transactions including withdrawals through ATM, POS or e-commerce transactions done on Foreign Merchants or sites which offer Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) transactions would be subjected to Tax collected at source at applicable rate defined by government of India. What is the per transaction limit on my ATM withdrawal?

An amount up to INR 10,000/transaction can be withdrawn using your Debit Card on non IDFC FIRST Bank ATMs. On IDFC FIRST Bank ATMs, you can withdraw up to 40 notes/transaction (final amount may depend upon the available denomination and your daily withdrawal limit)

What is Lost Card Liability?

The holder of IDFC FIRST Bank Classic Visa Debit Card has no liability for unauthorized transactions on Debit Cards on receipt of notification from the card holder. 

What is the benefit and eligibility criteria of Personal Card Insurance?

IDFC FIRST Bank provides free insurance on debit card (death or permanent disability).

Customers need to meet the below eligibility criteria for claiming the Personal Accident Insurance Cover, effective 1st May '19.

  • Card Tokenisation or Card on File Tokenisation (COFT) is one more step towards securing customer’s card details stored on merchant platforms (website or apps). As per regulator guidelines, merchants are instructed not to store details like card number, CVV & expiry date and should adopt for card tokenization. In case customer doesn’t opt for card Tokenisation, cardholder will be required to input details like card number, CVV and expiry date on every instance
