FASTag is a device that employs Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for making toll payments directly from the prepaid account linked to it. It is affixed on the windscreen of your vehicle and enables you to drive through toll plazas, without stopping for cash transactions. The tag has a validity of 5 years and after purchasing, you only need to recharge/ top up the tag as per your requirement.
FASTag is presently operational at 320+ toll plazas across national and state highways. More toll plazas will be brought under the FASTag program in the future. You may see the list of plazas in the 'Active Toll Plazas' section.
FASTag has a onetime Fee of ₹200 including service tax. The refundable security deposit depends on the vehicle type. Please check the 'Fees and Charges' section for details.
You may visit any of the Point of Sale (POS) locations at Toll Plazas / IDFC FIRST Bank Sales offices to get your tag account created. You may call our customer care @18002669970 to know more details.

Our representative will provide you an application form, which you need fill and submit.
All required documents for FASTag should be in the name of the owner of the vehicle. If car owner is not present at the time of application, driver will need to submit his photo ID proof.

You may recharge your TAG account by making payment through cheque or online through Credit Card / Debit Card / NEFT / RTGS or through Net Banking.
For one account Login Id cannot be changed. However, password can be updated from “Change Password” option after login your account. “Change Password” button is available under every menu item.
Password can be reset from the “Forget Password” option if you do not remember your current password. Forget password button is available before login your account.

Yes, it is possible. You can recharge your one Tag from another Tag money under “Funds Transfer Services”
Yes, a particular minimum amount is necessary in every Tag depending on its vehicle class or product subscribed. If Tag has amount is lesser than the minimum balance, it will not work and marked in “Low Balance Tag” category.
Yes, Tag recharge is absolutely safe. Transaction will be done through a secure Electronic Payment gateway.

Currently there is no account closing fee applicable.
Security amount and if there is any money left in Tag, that will be refundable at time of account closure.
Since the FASTag is linked to an account, KYC documentation would be required as per the KYC policy of the Issuer Bank. Apart from the KYC documentation, you need to submit Registration Certificate (RC) of the vehicle along with the application for FASTag.
If the FASTag is linked to a prepaid account, then it can be issued as per below defined limits:
Monthly pass for a toll plaza will be issued at that particular toll plaza or the POS locations put by the Acquirer Bank of the toll plaza. If you are registered tag holder, you need to visit the toll plaza [or the Acquirer Bank POS locations] and request for the particular pass scheme. You need to pay for the selected pass scheme by cash or card to the operator. Once the payment is approved, the operator will activate the affixed tag for the pass scheme.
Note: There is no need to purchase any other RFID tag to avail a monthly pass scheme at any toll plaza. The FASTag already purchased by you will be configured for the pass at the toll plaza.
FASTag is presently operational at 346+ toll plazas across National Highways. The system is inter-operable and the same FASTag can be used across all toll plazas under the NETC program. You can purchase a FASTag to avail the concessions. Once you purchase the FASTag, you will need to submit the required documents (proof of residence) at the Acquiring Bank POS location to validate your residence within 10 km of a particular plaza. Once it is verified, you may avail the concession on the FASTag assigned to your vehicle.
In case of such a scenario, a complaint is to be lodged with respective Project Directors at the toll plaza. Further, the incident may be reported to us via our email at email@example.com.
As per latest RBI circular, old notes of Rs 500 only can be accepted for topup of RFID tags. This will be accepted till 15th Dec 2016
