IDFC Bank Branch Design has won the India’s biggest Visual Merchandising and Retail Design Award (VM&RD) in the ‘Service Retail - Specialty Store’ category.
The branch design is based on in depth research of customer’s branch experience. This revolutionary design eliminates multiple customer pain points and helps in delighting the visitor every single time.
The core of the design lies in thoughtful segregation of the customer service area, corresponding functionalities, digitally enabling every interaction, providing approachable seating arrangement to all staff (including the branch manager) and clutter free ambience.
Every visitor therefore gets exactly the service she wants, in the least possible time. If the visitor wants to do simple cash withdrawal or cash/cheque deposit, she doesn’t need to go beyond the e-lobby, the first section in the branch. Depositors get a receipt with cheque copy printed for every cheque deposited at Cheque Deposit Machine.
If she needs to do anything more than this, she can approach any flexibanker in the uniquely designed branch lobby. Visitors can also use the wifi enabled tablets to complete the transactions online. Branch staff are happy to help visitors complete these transactions online.
The last section of the branch houses the sound proof conference rooms for more involved discussions. Visitors can also interact with subject matter experts through one touch video conferencing facility. This room is equipped with scanners and printers to ensure a seamless conversation with the expert.
