Once your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar card, you can use the full suite of Aadhaar services via SMS. Here are a few ways to link your Aadhaar card with your mobile number.

How to link your Aadhaar with your mobile number by SMS?


You can link your mobile number with your Aadhaar card by following the steps outlined below:

  • Go to your telecom operator's nearby store
  • Provide a self-attested copy of your Aadhaar card
  • Use the re-verification app to generate a four-digit OTP emailed to your phone number.
  • Provide biometrics and submit the OTP to the store executive
  • You will receive a confirmation SMS within 24 hours. To finish the e-KYC process, respond "Y."

  • Go to the telecom operator's website
  • Enter your mobile number
  • A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to your number.
  • Enter the OTP and click "Submit"
  • The screen will display a consent notification to verify the Aadhaar mobile number. It is necessary to submit the 12-digit Aadhaar number that will be linked.
  • The telecom operator will send a message for OTP generating.
  • You will receive a consent notice, including the e-KYC information.

  • Open the UIDAI's (Unique Identification Authority of India) website
  • Select "My Aadhaar" from the drop-down list

  • Enter the Captcha code and press the Send OTP button
