Points to Remember

 
  • Never swipe your own card or relative’s card on IDFC FIRST Bank POS terminal.
  • This will a violation of the Merchant Acquiring Agreement signed. And in such scenario, the Bank reserves the right to withdraw POS services. For such transactions, the settlement will be kept on hold for a minimum of 150 days and also you will have to bear the cost of reversal of the txn amount back to the Card.
  • Retain the charge slip for 180 days until the chargeback period is over.
  • Can take a Photo copy of charge slip, to retain the details owing to less lifetime of thermally printed charge slip. Without a Charge slip, Merchant Claim will become weaker and the transaction will be put on hold for a minimum of 135 days and up to 540 days
  • Obtain Id proof of the customer for high value transactions.
  • Without appropriate Id proof, Merchant Claim will become weaker and the transaction will be put on hold for a minimum of 135 days and up to 540 days
  • Always issue an invoice to record the Sale transaction. Do Not Split transaction or encourage multiple swipes for single transaction.
  • Ensure that the Transaction value on Charge slip matches the Invoice value. There should be only one card transaction against one invoice.
  • Do not collect any surcharge/ convenience fees from the cardholder for POS transactions.
  • Swipe amount should not exceed the amount of goods or services provided to the cardholder.
  • Settle the batch on your POS terminal daily.
  • Do not delay payment settlement for over 48 hours. Late settlement Fees will be applicable
  • Please mention your MID (Merchant ID) & your TID (Terminal ID) on all your communication with the bAank
  • Inform us of any changes in your contact numbers and email ID so we can continue sharing important updates with you.
  • Payments credited to your account will be communicated every day by 9.30 am on all working days.
  • The terminal is to be operated by trained staff from your organization. Do not allow card holders to operate your terminal.
