Points to Remember

  • Please mention your MID (Merchant ID) & your TID (Terminal ID) on all your communication.
  • Always keep your MID and TID handy when you call our customer care & do mention the same in your email communication.
  • Inform us of any changes in your contact numbers and email ID so we can continue sharing important updates with you.
  • Please ensure you carry out Batch Settlements on a daily basis to enable us to promptly process your payments and to avoid the late settlement charges.
  • Payments credited to your account will be communicated every day by 9.30 am except on Sundays & Public holidays.
  • You should insert the card in the slot available for Chip cards to avoid the Fall Back Charges.
  • Always use Paper Rolls supplied by First Data.
  • Use the Paper Rolls supplied by First Data within 3 months from the date of manufacture.
  • Dates of manufacture and expiry are printed at the back of the charge slip.
  • Always verify card holder's signature on the merchant copy of the charge slip, with that on the signature panel of the card. Ask for the card holder's ID proof if the signature panel is empty.
  • Always reconfirm the amount with card holder before processing a transaction.
  • Always issue a Sales Invoice for card transactions.
  • Preserve the merchant copy of the charge slip signed by card holder, for 18 months. Store it in a cool and dry place, away from sunlight.
  • Keep the Charge slip and the Invoice copy safely covered in the black box so that it can be produced later, if required.
  • Promptly submit a legible merchant copy of the charge slip signed by the card holder and sale invoice copy on demand by representative of IDFC First Bank.
  • Do not surcharge a card holder.
  • The terminal is to be operated by trained staff from your organization. Do not allow card holders to operate your terminal.
  • Swipe the card only once for a transaction.
  • In case of doubt, reprint either the last transaction or the full report.
  • For High value transactions, confirm the identity of the card holder with either his/her driver's license, passport or PAN card.
