We are delighted to inform you that effective 1st January 2021, Savings account customers who hold < Rs. 1 lac with us, will get to earn 7%, instead of 6% that you were earning thus far. Congratulations!
For customers who hold > Rs. 1 crore with us, the rates on incremental balances beyond Rs. 1 crore stand reduced, thus protecting your earnings at 7% on the first Rs. 1 crore. And overall, the rates are yet among the best in the market today.
Effective 1st January 2021, the interest payable on Savings account will be calculated on a progressive basis, as per the rate slabs described below:

Interest will be paid quarterly, on daily balances, at the end of the day.
Examples:
In case your account balance with us is Rs. 5,000, the interest payable to you will be 7% on the entire Rs. 5,000.
In case your account balance with us is Rs. 5 lacs, the interest payable to you will be 7% on the entire Rs. 5 lacs.
In case your account balance with us is Rs. 1.10 crores, the interest payable to you will be 7% on Rs. 1 crore and 5% on Rs. 10 lacs.
In case your account balance with us is Rs. 5.3 crores, the interest payable to you will be 7% on Rs. 1 crore, 5% on Rs. 4 crores, and 4% on Rs. 30 lacs.
