FASTag is a revolutionary tool for effortless toll payments without the hassle of long queues. Moreover, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) mandated FASTags for private and commercial vehicles. So, yes, if you own a vehicle, it should be equipped with a FASTag.
While FASTag is now compulsory, each vehicle now needs a unique FASTag according to new guidelines, which should be registered with the NPCI’s National Electronic Toll Collection System (NETC).
