Precautions to be taken to defend against vishing

  1. If you receive an email or phone call asking you to call and you suspect it might be a fraudulent request, look up the Bank's customer care number and call that number rather than the number provided in the solicitation email or phone call.
  2. If you get a call asking for your confidential information, never share your confidential information, as IDFC FIRST Bank will never ask for confidential information.
  3. Your bank would have knowledge of some of your personal details. Be suspicious of any caller who appears to be ignorant of basic personal details like first and last name (although it is unsafe to rely on this alone as a sign that the call is legitimate). If you receive such a call, report it to your bank.
